New Oil Trading

New Oil Trading is a trading company incorporated and based in South Africa. The company trades globally in petroleum and related products. New Oil is a subsidiary of Encha Group Limited.

New Oil Trading is:

  • majority owned (in excess of 60%) and funded by black South Africans;
  • wholly managed by black South Africans; and
  • has partnered a strategic international partner with global credentials in oil and gas trading spanning over several decades.

The focus of New Oil is to leverage on international relationships for sources of petroleum, and strategic government relationships that promote trade and investment with South Africa. New Oil also seeks to use South Africa’s economic comparative advantage and its economic influence on the African continent, to build its activity in petroleum trading.

A prime opportunity for the company is to support the South African government in its efforts to implement key energy-related policies, as well as to achieve targeted goals with respect to:

  • security of energy supply in the Southern African Development Community (“SADC”) region generally, and

  • more specifically the security of energy supply in South Africa.

New Oil Trading has access to a global pool of commodity trade finance, through its relationship with a leading first class trade financing bank. This gives us significant financial and transacting capacity to execute trades.

NewOil possesses experience in trading petroleum and related products spanning in excess of 30 years.
