In pursuit of its strategy to increase its investment exposure to infrastructure, Encha, through Encha Infrastructure has:

  • Progressively built an equity position in JSE-listed Mahube Infrastructure Ltd (JSE: MHB).
  • Established a black private equity fund manager (as contemplated in the Amended Financial Services Sector Codes) focused on the infrastructure asset class, in equal partnership with Mahube.
  • Concluded its first asset management mandate to manage Mahube and grow its business to R2 billion of capitalisation.

Encha and Mahube Manco are now actively seeking investment opportunities in the market in the Power and Energy, Rail, Water and the IT and Telecommunications sectors.
